    Four broody Serama hens.

Hello, four of my serama hens (that means all of them) went broody. I was trying to take the eggs away from them, because I didn't want any more chicks, but they managed to hatch 3 baby chicks. Now I have four all puffed up, angry seramas caring for 3 babies together. I just have a question, are...

    They choose to sleep outside...

I have the same situation. My chickens sleep outside and I did everything recommended, I have light in the coop, I was putting them all in the coop at night for weeks, I put treats inside in the evening to lure them in... nothing worked, they just sleep outside. Only a few sleep inside but not...

    To many roosters, bachelor pen.

the three-week-old crowing rooster Joey is actually quite mellow, likes belly scratches and attention and he doesn't crow much. :) My alfa rooster is Easter Egger Diego, that for the longest time I thought was a hen. The second run is build and ready, I let all chickens run around and get...

    American serama thread!

Mine are all black, maybe because my hen is part rosecomb bantam, I think. That gene must dominate. Also 2 out of the 3 have rosecombs. I need to keep my eyes open for some more seramas needed to be rescued. :) to mix it up.

    American serama thread!

I love your seramas, and how different and colorful they are! :) I have a feeling that I have either 3 boys or 3 girls. They develop the same, the waddles, combs are just a bit orange-pinkish. No fights, no chest bumps... At 7 weeks I thought I would know... silly seramas.

    Hen's comb has shrank

Oh, thank you so much. That makes me feel better. She is raising her babies, and she is going thru molt, so that might be it. I know she is not a pure serama, but I love that about her, her comb looks like a little lady hat, and I can't wait for her to get it back! :)

    Hen's comb has shrank

Hello, I have a question about my hen's comb, she is a serama mix, looks to me that she might be part rosecomb bantam, but not sure. She went broody 2 months back, and hatched 3 chicks almost 7 weeks ago. I have noticed that her comb shrank. She used to have a beautiful comb and now it...

Sexing 6 week old Seramas, please help

My guess was two roos, one pullet. I would love to see what others see. It's my first time having seramas, are they fast maturing? Can anyone have pics of their 6-week-old serama chicks to compare, please?
