what clues are there to know when a chicken is going to start laying eggs

Soon enough they will be following you around and getting underfoot and you will love every minute of it. They will be cooing, peeping, and clucking with joy, sounding like a cocktail party as you walk towards them with snacks.

what clues are there to know when a chicken is going to start laying eggs

Hi, I leave the wooden fake eggs in nest boxes continuously. Way back in 1990 I tried filling plastic eggs with plaster of paris and glued them shut with crazy glue. I did it to give the eggs weight and the glue had to set up longer than expected. It was ok but later switched to wooden eggs. Now...

Melts in...

    What Breed is this Chicken

She is a Marans pullet, in my experience. Much better pic of the chick. Thank you. Do not know the person that posted the Duckwing Gold Phonix with Partridge pullet. I own several and plan on selling their off this Saturday. This picture is a very good pic and shows the gal at her best.

    What breed is my chicken?

Hello again Okay. It is a partridge colored, meaning it is a pullet. Does she have willow green legs? Does she have slate blue legs? Does she have a bluish tiny on her ears? Someone posted a picture of a duckwing Gold Phoenix and his woman. Can not tell if they are bantam or not. Can not tell...

    What Breed is this Chicken

Yes this is a picture of a duckwing Gold Phoenix (bantam) and his mate a partridge like feathered female. Need somthing to judge the size to see if Bantam or not. Not an Ohiki. The other pic looks similar to a partridge pullet.

    What Breed is this Chicken

If there is a small amount of feathering down the legs My guess would be Partridge colored Marans. If there are not feathers on the legs and feet and if there is a blush of turquoise on the ears then I would say Partridge colored Phoenix Bantam Pullet. Just my guess from my view on iphone.
