Advice needed for a brooding duck

UPDATE: THEY'RE HERE!! 3 out of 4 hatched!!! I woke up this morning to find 2 just peeping away in there. They we're already dry but fully fluffy yet, and about 4 hours after that, the last popped out! They're precious and so far, they do indeed look like their Blue Swedish father(s) The 3rd has...

Advice needed for a brooding duck

Today is day 28...3 out of 4 have for sure internally pipped, and 2 have externally pipped but just one little spot on each egg...is that normal? Should I expect to see a lot of progress today?

Advice needed for a brooding duck

No internal pips. Air sacs did dip a smidge more...so I'm guessing I'll have 2 pip and hatch about a day before the last 2. Getting excited since we're finally in the home stretch!

Help! What just came out of my duck?

I just buy Purina Layer Pellets for my ducks. Yes, it has a chicken on the front of the bag, but it's still okay for the ducks. It's available at Co-Op and Tractor Supply and there are generic versions of it at places like Rural King, too. Do you have any of those stores near you?

    Missing Duck Mystery

I'm so sorry for your loss. It's heartbreaking and I imagine stressful to not know exactly what happened! Is it possible she "flew" the fence? What breed of duck was she? The complete lack of feathers is suggestive she wasn't attacked... is there anything in the pond? Any big snapping turtles...

    Janoel 12 incubator help!!

Oh okay! I have one too, but it's in my dining room ;-) I was just worried about it overheating if you have that vent hole in the top covered up. And my basement is finished, it's 1500 sq feet down there and only one vent...but it's entirely underground so the temperature down there stays a...

Advice needed for a brooding duck

I scrambled and put the old setup back in and that dropped the humidity back down. It's only been about 24 hours. I candled them again and they're all still moving about in there. Phew... I don't think I did any permanent damage.

Advice needed for a brooding duck

Today is day 20. When I candled them, they didn't fill up the egg with the exception of the air sac. They were on point for day 18, along with the air sac. I could see limbs moving, and even toes at one point.

Advice needed for a brooding duck

Quick question- Is lockdown for duck eggs day 18 or like 22? I was getting restless waiting for them to hatch and I started watching YouTube vids..but they all stated that their duck eggs were hatching on days 24 through about 28. I'm panicking now because I thought I was supposed to lock them...
