Gremlin watching for more trick or treaters. Warmest and driest Halloween we have had in many years.
Storm coming in today, very blustery and expecting a bunch of rain, chickens are hiding.
Opened the coop last night to find it freshly covered in feathers, I thought they were at the tail end of moulting, but apparently not! Also found an egg from Lumi which was a nice surprise, it had been a week since anyone laid.
Getting a new roof this weekend, good news for the house, but...
Day 2 of an intense weather event here. Crazy rain and scary wind gusts. Wind has stopped for now, hopefully its over with, i am shocked that the trees still have leaves! Chickens have mostly been hiding.
Hello friends,
I missed you all! I got so busy getting ready for my big faire in July and then was so behind... Any way, busy summer.
We are minus one, plus one in the cat department. We lost our oldest Puff in a horrible and tragic way, to a dog attack. 😞
Another neighborhood cat has adopted...
I would love to know where you got your arbor! I spent ages looking for one we liked and it turns out we need way more than the one we got. Our grapes have really taken off this year.
More happy chickens
my iris bloomed 💗 it took last year off.
I hot some super cute shoes from a site i thought many of you would like called the Animal Rescue Site https://theanimalrescuesite.com/
I love sand in the summer, i found it kept the coop dry and clean and super easy to clean out. Also great for keeping bugs at bay. In the winter it is cold though so we switch to shavings.
Seven eggs in 2 days! I know that is nothing for some of you, but I only have 5 hens, and three of them are over 7 years old!
Definitely Alinta's egg
Next to Rosie's
It was lovely seeing all your happy critters, I haven't checked in on this thread in quite a while. Sadly I am no longer a reptile caretaker. My beautiful girl passed away April 3rd. She was 18 years old, but its never long enough. :hit
They can make it to 30, but most don't. She spent her first few years as a frat house mascot/pet. The last year or two she battled with a fungal infection we couldn't seem to get rid of. Not uncommon unfortunately. Overall she had a good and happy life and I loved being her person.
