Does anyone have any experience with the Titan Incubator Automatic Door Opener? Or should I go with the Brisnea or Chicken Guard? I need one thats easy to install...
Really?? She sure looked like some of the pictures we have seen of cochins... she definitely could be a mix.. she came from a barnyard flock so some were purebred others mutts..
See you learn something new everyday.. :)
We have a blue cochin hen with a rosecomb. Could the faverolle rooster and blue cochin rosecombed hen produce the chick?
But the color comes from the columbian cochin rooster.. could the chick have 2 daddies?
Roos
Nope no brahmas. We have a columbian cochin roo, a faverolle roo, duccle and polish. Roo.
Hens are Faverolle, barred rock, silkie, polish, duccle and a couple oegb.
It has the 5th toe and beard..
Ughh.. i was hoping the faverolle cochin was a hen... the other 2 i thought roos but wanted to be wrong. The last one im leaning towards roo but the tail has me fooled..
I got 2 crested ducklings today. They were from an unexpected hatch. There were no crested in the family at all.. its a rouen/campbell mix. He is @ 5 days old.
Anyway, one was rejected by the mom and pecked its head open. The nice woman i got it from took it in, put it on probiotics and...
We just went through this with an oegb hen.. we didnt splint it because the swelling might have cut off circulation if wrapped. We kept her seperate in a small pen for 3 weeks and she healed up. She has a limp, but gets along pretty well. We thought we were going to have to put her to sleep...

All the chickens free range and really are not fed much...so other than lock them up, which would be worse for them, we don't have an alternative. They are all roosters, but for the time being, aren't aggressive
The red rangers are @ 5 lbs already. We feel bad for them because they cant run or walk very far without having to sit down and rest. They are going to give them as much of a quality of life they can because they were supposed to be pets.
My friend said they were marked speciality breed on the box. Her 3 yr old niece picked them out. Yeah this was her 1st and last experience with TSC for chicks. She realized she got screwed as the other 2 are Red Ranger cockrels..
Any idea what breed this might be? They were bought a tractor supply and are @ 10 weeks... they have no tail feathers.. also any idea hen or roo? 2 n 3 are bird #1 and 4 n 5 are #2
Located in Bucks County PA. 1yr old Columbian cochin bantam roo. Uggs is a great and protective rooster. He takes very good care of his hens. We are focusing on faverolles and do not have any cochins for him, so would like to rehome him. He throws gorgeous babies and is a sweet bird. He comes...
Lol.. i wish i was a lawyer... It was actually an old racehorse i had...
yeah it stinks that none of the eggs developed. I just know with other things ive sold on ebay, if the buyer had an issue, they opened a case. But i always refunded their $ or offered a replacement if they werent happy...
I gave him a good review because packaging was great n no broken eggs.. its not that i gave him a negative review at all.. just was hoping they might send me some viable ones..
...feel guilty n send out new eggs. Especially since i said i would pay for shipping...
I guess some people are just in it for the $ n dont give a sh*t about customer satisfaction..
oh well.. lesson learned. Hopefully my $35 chick hatches...n you know with murphys law its going to be a rooster...
