i think a piece of wood might be a great idea i never really thought of that!! my nest box is basically a rectangle about a foot off the ground...

Well, Evey time i put somthing in the coop (like shavings, or hay or thing like that) they always are thinking its food and they ruin it by eating...

I just helped it a little and it managed to get out it fine but i think it still has its umbilical cord to i cut it off or what?
one of my chick has a red thingy between it legs i dont know if its an umbilical cord or what it just hatched about 5 minuets ago and it laying...
