That is really good and also a sign it is probably nutritional versus brain. Except is this bird blind did you say?

    Trouble breathing

Never heard of it. If it has vitamins in it, then I am sure it is fine. There are so many things you can give the cheep cheeps. I heard of Rooster booster from this forum.

Thats a good sign! go out and get you a chick /duckling wry neck emergency kit lol. I bought everything for wry neck and just feed them a little higher niacin diet since I have had ducklings eating duckling feed get this very easily. put vitamin b3 in the water too.

    Trouble breathing

Has it been doing this since birth? Could be wry neck but it seems too young for nicen deficiency, but it is possible if it started a day or so after birth. If the birdie has been like this since hatching it is more than likely neurological. I had a duckling do this same thing. I just had to put...

HELP! VERY WOBLEY NEWBORN DUCKY 1 1/2 DAYS OLD

Thank you. I am ok. The kids are so sad. I really treated it like a newborn human for 5 -6 days. That poor baby. She got a lot of love, but she was lonesome for another ducky too. she would cheep when she heard the others and start going crazy. She wanted to live. Her body had other plans.

HELP! VERY WOBLEY NEWBORN DUCKY 1 1/2 DAYS OLD

Aww. I truly am sorry. Being a bird mom isn't for the faint of heart. My daughter is going to be ok. The ducky's we let go are playing in heaven doing all of the duck things they were apparently not meant to do on earth. I take comfort knowing she isn't suffering at all anymore.

HELP! VERY WOBLEY NEWBORN DUCKY 1 1/2 DAYS OLD

I did, along with everything else vitamin deficient duckling would need. I took her to the animal hospital this morning and the vet said it was neurological. She had begun aspirating on her food. Having seizures, etc. I felt terrible and I knew the right thing was to send her to ducky heaven as...

HELP! VERY WOBLEY NEWBORN DUCKY 1 1/2 DAYS OLD

I love that name. I named her Quacker Jack because she would spring, cheap and fall. I did try and I didn't get super attached because I had a feeling niacin had nothing to do with it. My 7-year-old is so heart broken. I pray she just passes during the night but i don't think that will be the...

HELP! VERY WOBLEY NEWBORN DUCKY 1 1/2 DAYS OLD

I feel terrible if I do have to put her down. I am going to let the vet take a look. she has no muscle control and can only walk wobbly for a few steps and then she plops over. It is time. She is suffering so bad and if she doesn't pass during the night I will certainly let the vet do it. I...

HELP! VERY WOBLEY NEWBORN DUCKY 1 1/2 DAYS OLD

It's more work thank a human baby. I love her and I so desperately want her to have a good life. Sometimes things go wrong during hatch and God has other plans for the little duckies. I won't let her waste away. That is inhumane and I simply can't do it. Especially not to a baby bird. So sorry...

HELP! VERY WOBLEY NEWBORN DUCKY 1 1/2 DAYS OLD

She still isn't improving at all. She wants to walk and run and do all of the duck things and she can't at all. She isn't getting any worse. I may have to put her to sleep. I am hand feeding her every 2-4 hours and she just isn't thriving. I won't watch it suffer. It is so so sad. worst part of...

DUCKLING HATCH # 3 STARTING NOW!

HELP! VERY WOBLEY NEWBORN DUCKY 1 1/2 DAYS OLD

She came out without her yolk absorbed all of the way. She absorbed it in the incubator. I think that hast to do with it and she's a big bird too. She was the biggest egg.

HELP! VERY WOBLEY NEWBORN DUCKY 1 1/2 DAYS OLD

I know that was a typo. I was thinking the same thing about her condition, and she is the same if not a bit better. She loves me and to eat out of my hand. I can stabilize her when she can't use her little muscles anymore. The time frame makes me feel a lot better. I thought it happened within...

HELP! VERY WOBLEY NEWBORN DUCKY 1 1/2 DAYS OLD

How long does it take for them to get noticeably better after receiving niacin, vitamin E, eggs, greens, duck food, yeast lol? She isn't getting worse and maybe a tiny bit better but still can't do much and even goes limp while eating and then perks back up and goes crazy.

HELP! VERY WOBLEY NEWBORN DUCKY 1 1/2 DAYS OLD

She seems to be getting a bit better. Less wobbly and can hold head up longer and walk longer but is still very very drunk looking and falls or sleeps mid step, or mid eating.

HELP! VERY WOBLEY NEWBORN DUCKY 1 1/2 DAYS OLD

Thank you!!! I am trying all of this! First the Quacker smoothie and then I will head to the feed store tomorrow. She seems to be getting around a tiny bit better after eating out of my hand for a little while. I will just offer food out of my hand every couple of hours. Once she's running...
