    Gave the bees a pollen patty and fondant. Added the insulating inner covers to all 3 hives. Put the winter cover on the Olivarez Itallians. Removed the 3 supers from the Golden West hive. Still need to put the insulating cover on it. Will wait until they calm down.

    6 hens and 2 toms. I was getting about a dozen eggs a week. They are just about done laying now.

    Spent most of the day making a new gate for the garden to replace the one I broke. It is built and hung but still needs the screen added. Unloaded and put away 600 lbs. of all flock feed.
