    My chicks are fully feathered and 7 weeks old. Are they ready to go in the coop at night, The temps tonight will be around 50. I have a total of 11 chicks.

    Yes the milk jugs have nipple drinkers in the bottom of them. Since I have a roof and a solid back wall do I need to put any sides on it?

    What breed Bantam?

    Thanks for the replies. The reason I dont think they are bantams is that they are bigger than my production reds and barred rocks of the same age.

    Decided to try the hoop coop and I like it alot. Easy build and plenty of room. Built it up next to my goats house to use the tin overhang.

    So far just one. There is still 4 eggs under her but the other hen has been taking them from her. I have heard that can cause poor hatches.

    A little of both really. I have some barred rock and production red chicks. Plus I have some BCM eggs in the incubator. I dont have room for all of them with the buffs but would like to put at least one set in with them.
