    Hello, I have a newly hatched d'uccle chick that has its umbilical wrapped all the way around its foot. I'm not sure what to do in fear of breaking it since there is yolk left. Any advice?

    Update: Unfortunately the little egg didn't make it. It ended up dying the next day. On the bright side. I had 6 ducklings out of seven that hatched besides that one that didn't make it. :pop

    Yes I was concerned about the blood too. No visible air bubbles or blood moving around in the egg. It is on day 19. My indies usually take anywhere from 26-28 days.

    I used a candle to drip wax over the cracks. Baby is still moving. :fl🙏 Hoping that it will make it.
