Other chickens are afraid to even go near them, and hesitate to in the coop at night. And they drop down to submit, but still get repeatedly pecked. I see a lot of bruised and scabbed combs.
I’m sorry.
All birds are 2 years old, and have been together since day 2. They have plenty of room, 8x8x8 coop, inside a horse stable, and an inside run 12x24.

I have 11 total chickens.
Six Buff Orpingtons and 5 Gold Laced Wyandotte’s. Two of the Wyandotte’s are jerks. They appear to be #2 and #3 in the pecking order. They go out their way to peck the lower chickens, apparently for no reason at all.
The reason why I’m posting is that I know a guy who...
No there are no windows.
there are four doors that I leave open weather permitting... and three huge tractor doors, that I leave one open weather permitting. But weather permitting, they are outside in a 25x75 open grass run. We have about three feet of snow right now. Should I leave doors open...
Not really during this time of year, unfortunately ... when it’s in the 20’s I’ll open a door by their run. It’s 9 degrees out right now, but 18 degrees inside the stable.

The coop is actually inside of a horse stable (no horses). The coop measurements are 8x8x8. They have an indoor run that measures approximately 12x12. They spend almost all day in the run.

any idea what breed(s), and are all layers, I’m assuming?
thanks for your assistance!!!
They get 16% layer crumble from multiple feeders available all day. In the morning I toss a couple of handfuls of scratch with oats, at night they get a couple of handfuls of black sunflower seeds. They have a 24x60 outdoor run, and a 12x20 indoor run, so assuming eating some bugs etc
Thanks!!
I have an 18 month old Buff Orpington, who has been laying shell-less or very thin shelled eggs for a month or so.

I have a mixed flock of 12. Half Buff Orpingtons and half Gold Laced Wyandotte. All are 18 months old. The last couple of weeks, their egg size has become way smaller, especially compared to their huge eggs late Fall and early Spring.
All seem healthy and no change in diet from that time.
8x8x8...
