    Hatchery chicks with round worms

That is what I was reading and yes it was tossed. My husband wanted a picture of it as well. Our chicks have the small watering containers, so maybe 1/2 to 3/4 inch of water is in the base a time.

    Hatchery chicks with round worms

We just purchased a dozen baby chicks last week and this morning I noticed in their water it looked like a small roundworm. No other reason for it to be anything else since they are only a week or so old and just with each other in a brooder. Is this even possible at their age? Any help and...

    question about eggs

Yes I did notice the eggs are fine, just doesn't look the best. I can understand why they were culled especially if their eggs are being sold.

    question about eggs

Very interesting article. We shouldn't have excess in calcium as they free range most of the day and a pretty good organic feed. I am wondering stress or over crowding. We do have 16 hens to 2 roosters. Trying to move the other rooster to another coop to watch over our 14 orpingtons. The coops...

How do you manage iced water?

I am home all day with my girls so I a few times a day go outside with a gallon of water and give them some fresh drinkable water in the runs. Most days the flocks free range and we used a large heated water bowl last year. Not sure if we will do the same. I did read in this thread that the...

    Round worms dead in coop?

Oh interesting... thank you. Not seeing any other signs in the coop or run nor do the hens show any signs of issues. I wonder if it died inside as it was dead when I found it. All our hens get ACV and Oregano oil in their water daily to help prevent any parasites from making a home in the hens...

    Round worms dead in coop?

Saw this yesterday when collecting eggs.. Not moving... possibly a dead round worm. Can anyone give some insight on finding a dead round worm like this in a coop? Have not found anything else that looks concerning. Thank you..

Broody Muscovy with a pale beak???

LOL yes I know. The turkey is twice the drakes size it is crazy how he thinks he can mate with it. We do not allow the turkeys to free range normally, just when I need to clean their run.
