I had 3 hatch on day 20. Two had stopped, so I got rid of them. The last one has a chick in it, dark and heavy, but it is day 25 tomorrow, Friday. What are the chances it will hatch in your opinions? I kind of want mamma to move a bit, but she is determined! The three babies ar thriving and so...
You must have a good recipe for those, 22 cases! I just did 25 lbs yesterday. Processed them outside on a camp stove to avoid the heat in the house. I don't have a tried and true recipe, but am always on the look-out ;-)
Those are very pretty Easter Eggers! I love the dark and light contrast on the bottom one with the black beard. Kind of what I am looking for this spring when we swap out some older hens. Either that or Olive Eggers.
Round 1 is wazine, the next round will be ivermectin. Dose that after 10 days, then 14 more before I would sell them. However, wondering if I could feed the 10 day eggs to the dog? There is no labeling for the ivermectin since it isn't labeled for chickens. Just wondering if they would be safe...
Just wondering. I know some people eat the ivermectin dosed eggs since that is what people are wormed with. I read somewhere on here that wazine doesn't effect dogs, to scramble and feed it to them. I wouldn't sell them, but are they safe for us to eat?
There is an ameraucana forum further down this page. There are a ton of people with the BW. More knowledge on that forum about Ams it would make your head spin. Great peeps.
Not sure what to do about this guy! I lost his mate, well didn't loose her, hawk took her...He is still young and very handsome. The 2 other girls, BSL, I got him with are his family. I'm pretty sure it would crush them if he was gone. He was supposed to be a she, oops. Now I think it is...
Would a black Lav split have some light leak color on their hackle feathers? I think my roo is a split, and he does have some feathers that are half black and half light. If I were to get some girls to breed him with, what colors could I expect with the offspring? Also, what should I get -...
In our small flock of 6 hens, 2 pullets and a rooster (pullets and rooster were added 3 mo. ago, so he is not top) 1 of my BR is the queen hen. The other BR is the most mellow. Both BR are from the same place, just depends I guess. We also have 3 RSL and a Delaware.

Horizontal to the ground being 0, then straight up would be 90, so 45 would be half way between horizontal and straight up.
or when the minute hand of a clock is between 7 & 8
would that not be 10 & 11?
Or 1 & 2 depending on "the good side"

I got a list from the Extension office, which one are you a part of (contact name - the group name is cut off of the print out)? I know Tops is close, but they do mostly rabbits. One of my daughters wanted to join to show a hen, but it was too late to be able to do the fair as 4H, so...
He said some were from you and some pips & peeps. He did mention that they could be splits, he could get a better feel from the sheen color. Must say, he is a very nice guy - was great to deal with, and will be getting more from him in the future. They are/were just over about 6 mo. Cena is...
