    No. Breed is orpington, color is blue. Could be that one decided she didn't like you and the rest followed.

    Chickens are individuals, personalities vary from bird to bird. Don't encourage your birds to perch on you, it's not a habit you want them to have.

    Cockerel, the red wings (which aren't supposed to be there for that color) and black feathers say male. Female dark brahma are gray Partridge. and don't have the black feathers.

    Definitely keep the hardware cloth and frame it better, chicken wire is useless and will let anything through. Are the vultures sunning themselves?

    Not with the mass of the water insude it, any heat difference will be minimal, metal also doesn't leach chemical into water when warm.
