Yes, they're all yellow legged. And have some remnants of black feathers in the tail and almost white feathers in the wing.
I'm almost certain they came from tractor supply. I don't know the quality of birds they get their stock from, but my best guess is these gals aren't top tier bufforps...
Yet another thread revive- this one is looking suspicious still. It's the only one with a tattered tail. And slightly more red than the other 2.
Sibling for comparison. Slightly less red and less waddles.
Got my 1st cochin. A bantam frizzle. She's a star gazer, but adorable and rules the roost already. Giving her vitamins to hopefully fix her star gazing, but if it doesn't work, she's still a happy girl.
I already can see how folks love the breed!
I'll try this way. I like knowing she gets the full dosage.
I'll also offer scrambled eggs, but try putting the pill in her mouth whole. It's not a terribly large pill.
She's such a cute little odd ball, I'm really enjoying her so far.
I got the vit E gel tabs this evening.
How should I go about giving it to her? Put the pill down her mouth? Break open the pill and spread it over a small bit of bread? They are the 400IU dose, if that means anything lol
Thank you for the information! I will definitely try it out.
When she's focusing on the floor, she happily scratches the ground and eats. Then gets stuck with her head up for a while.
Im happy to see that she has great spirits tho. Gives me hope that even if I can't get her condition better...
Just picked up an ADORABLE little cochin bantam frizzle hen. I was told she star gazes, so it wasn't a surprise to me. But I am finding it interesting to see how she takes in the world around her. Was told she was treated with vit B as a pullet. And as she's aged she doesn't star gaze as bad as...
He sounds adorable!
The leakage at the wing has me slightly concerned about her being a roo. I have not seen her in person yet and she supposedly had laid an egg. I don't even know the age of her.
While I don't doubt what the seller says, its just a concern in the back of my mind. I've noticed...
Thank you both! Either way, I'm happy.
Definitely makes me want to learn more about colors and genetics tho. Shes my 1st frizzle and I'd like to educate myself more on what creates gold leakage.
I am picking this girl up Saturday and could not be more excited!
Is she mottled and calico? Or is that an either/ or type of thing?
She's not for breeding, just curious.
