    I always hang my waterer (a repurposed hummingbird feeder without the flower cap) and have no problem with foreign objects dirtying the water. Also put food and water far apart.

    Handsome guy! I bought them last month from a lady who raised them. Not sure where the chicks are from. The lady who referred me to her got pullets from her, same batch, as well as her friend. HA HA, my cats are named Laverne and Shirley. Sisters.

    They are now 5.5 months. You could be right. I've also read that they don't start laying until 26-28 weeks. Time will tell. His crow isn't normal and obnoxious, yet. Their feathers are sure pretty. At this point, he hasn't tried to attack me, so MAYBE he'll get to stay. If not, I know someone...
