I can't either! She is taking meds for pain + to prevent infection, so hopefully it is lessened. If only she could speak! She is bright and active, and passing good stools. Like I said though, day by day :) -

I was pretty surprised! I've seen tons of parrots adapt very well, but quail are far different than parrot types. However, seeing pigeons and chickens adapt well did give me some hope. Today was going to be her last day, but she figured it out. Day by day though, animals are always surprising. -

Prettyyy sure most of the celadons that hatched ended up roos :lol: Starting to finally get more consistent laying, that fox was really stressing them out! The bumps on their heads are also gone :) My dogs have been chasing it off nearly every night, sometimes multiple times in one night. -

My roo definitely has a bump on his head, it hasn't really gone down at all. He doesn’t like me touching it, probably sore. My hens are looking way better though! I believe it is from the fox scaring them. Hopefully his little head will go back to normal soon :) -

This is what her head normally looks like. My pens aren’t very filled out at the moment, so I think it is the fox scaring them and making them bump their heads. I’ll have to make working on the pens a priority this week! :) -

A few of my quail look like they have gotten bumps on their heads. I am completely stumped. Does anyone know what it could be? There has been a fox coming multiple times a week. Could they have gotten scared and bumped their heads? That’s all I can think of. They’re acting normal otherwise... -
