Your Opinion: What's The Very Best Backyard Duck Breed?
I'm new to them but I love the Saxony ducks. Depending on where you live they might be hard to get. Very pretty, not very loud and are fine with my chickens. -

Broody hen hatching chicks at the top of the hay stack
I did as you suggested and moved her this morning, two were fully hatched another just had hatched and was still in that weak wet stage. I put her in a next box with the eggs, babies some water and a bit of cracked corn. I'm not sure the status on the newest hatch but I saw at least one chick...- CDennis

Thanks for the replies, it's not currently skunk's but we had quite a few this summer and they did kill a bunch of my young birds and chicks. I think from reading this post Ridgerunner's suggestion to examine the carcass as well as looking in the snow for prints I have narrowed it down to a fox...- CDennis

My bear proof chicken coop and free range with my llamas
Oh wow! My answer....well at least a start. I keep having chickens and ducks killed I think by foxes, a great horned owl and maybe coyotes (my fence is just 4 feet). Getting Guard Llamas. Advice please.

Thanks, that does look exactly the same......the person I bought it from said it has at least appeared broody when purchased and was part of a trio.
