    So lucky is now almost 11 weeks and has settled nicely in with my friends chickens. We still don’t really know if lucky is a Roo or a hen. Any thoughts?. Did make some crowing sort of sounds at 6 weeks but not sure

    Good news as the owner of the eggs is happy to adopt if a hen and we can visit. Just don’t have the room here/ gonna be so hard to see lucky go in a few weeks but for the best

    There is some pink on wattles but it’s mum looks like a rooster to me lol. I’m a complete novice . Hatched from an hedge veg stall. It’s been amazing. Borrowed a friend until lucky is adopted

    Yes. As we tried to incubate some hedge veg eggs . Only 1 of the 4 were fertilized: they were all meant for a cake but my daughter thought there were chicks inside so we made a homemade incubator and then borrowed a small incubator when I saw development in this one.     3 weeks on Thursday. I’ve been told looks like a boy but I see no sign of pink. Tail grown quicker than crown. Any opinions gratefully received
