Okay perfect. I have looked at everyone thoroughly and have not seen a single lice since the second treatment I did. Including on my rooster, who was by far the worst, he’s who the picture is of. Just the eggs were concerning me that maybe they were treated right.
the powder I used was Pyrethrin powder, I had to double check as I get them confused! The spray Dokter Doom , is also pyrethrins. Attached is a picture of the spray. I may give the provincial vet a call Monday and ask about the eggs. I don’t want to unnecessarily treat. Thank you for your...
I dusted the chickens to their skin, three times 10 days apart. I did treat the entire coop as well, once the same day as the first treatment, and then the last treatment day. I used powder in the coop as well as Dokter Doom Poultry lice killer in the coop, on roosts , etc. I cleaned out the...
What type of mites or lice would these be?
I had treated with permethrin powder, three times , a week apart, and I now can not physically see any on any of the chickens. However there are a few that have eggs on their feathers still. I am trying to figure out if I should be treating again...
Late update but update! All three originally posted are Roos, sugar Spice and Goji
The second group 3/4 roosters, the only pullet is Fiona the darkest one :)
I’m sorry I have to post again. But now I am having a different issue with another rooster. This is roadrunner. He was being picked on badly by the main rooster in my flock. He is an incredibly skittish bird, so I know it stressed him out. Once I caught him, which isn’t easy, there’s a reason he...
Thank you.. it was a hard decision. But he started having what presented as seizures.. and wasn’t just a leg injury anymore.. my sweet boy is at peace now
We did help Latte pass today. He took a drastic turn for the worse, and had no quality of life left.. it is truly such a hard decision. But I made it with only him in mind. He will always be loved and remembered. Thank you to everyone who offered advice and help ❤️
Well… he was getting better and the last two days he has taken a turn for the worse. I am really not sure what to do at this point and it’s breaking my heart
Thought I would post an update. It appeared his hip was what was nothing him the most, so I did a body wrap, that included holding his right femur in place. As well he got multiple short times in his hammock. I would of done longer but he was trying to get out after an hour.. so I did it a few...
I wish I could, honestly.
He is on b complex daily, as well as vitamin e. So I will continue that! He is on grower food right now, and eats really well, drinks well and his poops look good.
That is a fantastic manual! I will definitely look at wrapping it again. I did initially , but I’m not...
I’m honestly more leaning towards a tendon damage than a bone, it doesn’t feel to be slipping forward at the moment, however I agree it looks like that in the first video.
I did give him both vitamin b and e right now. He gobbled it all up. I’ll up the vitamin b as your other post suggested. He loves softly cooked egg, so I have been doing that daily, for the nutrients and as a treat. He still dives into his crumble and drinks well as well. He is in a small...
I have had him on a third of a dose of vitamin b complex liquid for about a week now. And I actually have vitamin e capsules so I just gave him 400iu on a tiny piece of bread and he gobbled it up. So I can keep that up. Poor dude, I absolutely adore him, and feel so bad for him.,
I didn’t realize what hobbles were called. I was actually looking at that today, if that could help him. But didn’t see much for adults, only baby chicks so I wasn’t sure
