    Oh yeah, that too! She probably is just some sort of mixed bantam, the owner told us she came from her silkie, sizzle, and frizzle pen. But to me she doesn't look like any of those so I guess I'll have to wait till she feathers out!

    Sadly, Marygold didn't make it. She started shaking, making little noises, and flapping her wings, then stopped breathing... I'm not sure what happened but all the other chickens (and ducks) seemed fine except my EE Clover, but she is doing better now. We don't have a vet that cares for chickens...

    My two pekin ducklings are probably around 5 weeks old and they live outside full time with my 3 chicks. They are all separated from the chicken run, but they still have access to dirt, grass, bugs, etc. Do I need to buy them chick grit or can they just use the sand that is in their run as grit?
