My komondor is great with the chickens and everything else we have. Maybe a little lax on security at 6 mos old but she keeps an eye on everyone. The pyre did a much better job protecting the chickens from aerial attacks. The constant barking at anything 'off' keeps everything away.
If I were you and never had goats I would get a doe that has kidded before, preferably with no problems. Buy her from someone who will let you come back in the fall and breed her, and maybe have that included in the price. If you buy a young inexperienced doe now you will have to breed her...
My pyre was a great chicken dog. Great at killing and burying them in record time... Of course after she trained them to let their guard down cause she wasn't gonna hurt them. Then one day smash, grab, bury, lay down like nothing happened.

"Who really knows how they were treated in the process? Neither you or I were there to see that they didn't use shock collars or how they got them to remain still and compliant for what is sure to take a good while. While you may dye your dogs ears, or dunk a silkie that is...
I love the buffalo, I was at the competition when she did it and everyone was trying to guess what he was going to be! And YES there is competitive creative dog grooming. These weren't random trims and dye jobs, they were planned for months to a year ahead of time to get the right amount of coat...
I loved comfortis up until a week or two ago. It does kill fleas, but does not repel them. With the heat and wet weather I am having the worst infestation of my life, I blame the cat. They are everywhere and the nymphs are eating me and my dogs alive. So I recommend some repellant too until they...
Pigs. Never again. They always disgusted me then I bought a potbelly, destructive mean, hardheaded. Kept attacking my boyfriend one day and trying to hump him the next...
Nubian Goats, loud fence climbing and destructive. The pygmies are ok, except on that likes to jump my wall. The Angora and...
Yup with the pacing. He is leaning in heavy on the inside, too small a circle and off balance. If you ever watch someone train a walker, they ride a straight line, stop turn on the haunches, and ride a straight line. When your horse is properly in gait he will have a distinctive head bob. To get...
I agree with oldchickenlady don't buy her if you are a beginner. Ex race horses take a LOT of retraining, and you don't know how she rides. There are lazy ex racehorses that you have to push push push and there are hot ones that never really settle. If you still insist, along with the vet stuff...
