    Bird Flu Crisis.

    I have to say that I am kind of freaking out. I live in southern Minnesota where the outbreak is devastating right now. I have a free range laying flock and pastured meat birds. I'm praying that lots of sunshine and a great immune system will keep my flock healthy.

    My ducks and ducklings are loving the new "pond" in my yard created by torrential rains. Without the flock the flooded yard would be just an aggravation. Instead, the flooding has brought lots of entertainment.

    We just got official word that our son and his unit will be coming home to MN tomorrow!!!! After almost a year in Afghanistan, I can't wait to have him in my arms again! 849th MAC coming into Litchfield at about 3pm tomorrow if anyone wants to be there and show your support for our troops.
