Neighbors ducks coming over on my property...

I think there ducks chased our ducks away. We can't find them anywhere. I'm really bummed. I've nursed these ducklings through sickness, and I've grown really attached. Now they are just...gone.

Neighbors ducks coming over on my property...

They do know that their ducks are coming over and mating our ducks. Their daughter told me so and thought it was funny. I'm going to make my husband go talk to them as he is more personable. For now we have been chasing them away everytime we see them. I think the ducks are starting to get the...

Neighbors ducks coming over on my property...

I wish we could put up a fence. The problem is that we live in the mountains surrounded by streams and forest. There is no way to fence in everything.

Neighbors ducks coming over on my property...

Okay, shy person here who hates any conflict. We have a large 1.7 acre property. We free range our chickens and they stay on it. We have a 8 week old duck and 3 5 week old ducklings. Our neighbors ducks were coming over to socialize through our ducklings wire run. They were eating their scrap...

Traumatic duck death/ other ducklings lethargic.

Um, our water was tested already, this is a new house and we had it all tested before moving in. Thanks. My children were also recently tested for lead, and all came back well.

Traumatic duck death/ other ducklings lethargic.

They were all Cayuga's. I got her from Murray Mcmurray, shipped in the mail. My friend (avian vet) said that around her age 4-5 weeks there is a major growth spurt, and if there are any genetic abnormalities this would be the time for them to show up. There were a couple red flags, but ava never...

Traumatic duck death/ other ducklings lethargic.

So update: Ava is absolutely thriving. I got her some friends because of how lonely she is. I think it was genetic. The new friends are of mixed ages, but all I could find locally. They all adjusted well.

Accidentally forgot chicken in water bath ...

I used to work in restaurants, terminology is hard to break. I think we could use him for soup. As long as he doesn't taste too bad?

Wait a minute he was cut and bled out first! I was plucking feathers and got a little distracted and spaced out. He is just ..par- cooked. The water was 160

And now he is slightly cooked. Is he still edible? What to do? Save for dog/cat food?

Traumatic duck death/ other ducklings lethargic.

She's got a mirror and a stuffed puffin because that's as close as we could find to a duck in our house.

We are feeding all flock with a sprinkle of nutritional yeast. I also give them fresh cut greens in their water or peas from my hand.

Traumatic duck death/ other ducklings lethargic.

That is what I am thinking. We just lost her, so now we only have ava left. When we first got our ducklings, we had an odd looking one. He was sort of malformed looking. I'll attach a photo. He was the smallest one and just looked odd. He was the first to die. But they were 4 weeks old this...

Traumatic duck death/ other ducklings lethargic.

So this morning the one that was sick yesterday is still alive, though I do have to help her stand to eat and drink water. They had their morning bath and once again she floated around. What's confusing to me is the fact the the other of the 2 let's call her Ava. Is getting gigantic and has...
