    Red Birds:Cofusion and arguing:

No. I am choosing the term hybrid which is used in poultry Lexis which is neither of those. It is the one which states three or more parental breeds are needed for a hybrid

    Red Birds:Cofusion and arguing:

Well it does because 1 breed of chicken is not a different species to another.

. You know we are talking about hybrid layers, not just hybrids

    Red Birds:Cofusion and arguing:

But you have just gone on wikipedia and looked at hybrids as a whole term. A hybrid layer is not the result of a turkey x chicken is it? Of you are going to use the internet look for hybridisation of domestic poultry. Not the breeding of chickens with other species of poultry though

Do small eggs equal small adult chickens?

This is true but it is also know that an older hen lays larger eggs so your point is not 100% correct. If a chicken gets better nutrition in its incubation period it will hatch into a larger chick and so will often have a head start in life so can put on weight as a grower whilst others from...

    Red Birds:Cofusion and arguing:

I don't know about the us but in UK hatcheries do not sell anything known as production reds, due to the pointlessness of it when you can buy a red hybrid/cross or abackyard quality pure bred

Do small eggs equal small adult chickens?

This is true, to answer your question a chick hatched from a pullet egg will often grow to the normal size but it may be slimmer than others of the breed. Some breeders swear by hatching large eggs in order to achieve large sizes of adult birds

    Red Birds:Cofusion and arguing:

I'm going to lay a few facts down right now...... A production red hen is a very generic term. It could mean new Hampshire's or Rhode island reds which are very poor quality in terms of breed standard but produce more than average eggs for the breed. A production red could also be a cross...

    Red Birds:Cofusion and arguing:

Its not a true breed because production reds do not breed true. If you were to breed a production red room with a or hen the offspring would come out all colours.

GAME BIRD OR NOT? WHAT BREED?

White legs is the dominant gene over yellow legs so a poor quality Yokohama is very likely to have white legs

    Red Birds:Cofusion and arguing:

That's the thing. Not all production red is a hybrid. If it has only two parent breeds it is just a cross breed, but if one of its parents or even both are cross breeds then it is a hybrid. It needs 3 different parental breeds or more to be a hybrid

GAME BIRD OR NOT? WHAT BREED?

Its definitely a red saddled yokphoma, just a poor quality one. He shouldn't have red on his head and neck but he still has flecks

    Hawk attack (graphic)

Some of the common misconceptions when it comes to hawk attacks are that they eat the crop, carry the bird away, decapitate and eat the head, when in reality hawks do none of these things, or at least very rarely. It will be a recurring thing. You will need to put netting over your pen
