    Arkansas has a huge variety of stones you can find. We have novaculite and quartz crystal around here. We also went to Crater of Diamonds once. I got a bucket full of neat jasper or agate, but didn't find diamonds. One guy there found a really big diamond that day. Hubby was so jealous.

    My Dad used to live in the desert too, in Yermo. I live in Hot Springs, Ar. but all the stuff in walking distance is National Park. Not allowed there. We still manage to go places to dig once in a while.
