    My females eat oyster shell all year round, they also have grit out I think they just like it. Plus their calcium reserves are low from laying so they do need to build it back up.

    Of course not duckling are just sweet and precious. But then hormones play into it too I believe. Even my other ducks Runners & Buffs will do some fighting in fall and spring but they don't draw blood usually just end up with a mouth full of feathers. Maybe you should consider adding a drake...

    If she's okay with the chickens and they don't mess with her keep her with them when my Muscovy was in the other coop she roosted with the chickens. Chickens on the roost the ducks and geese under the poop boards.

    My Muscovy bully would draw blood too. Tonight she wanted to cause trouble and I almost picked her up and put her in the other coop but she finally went and laid down. Muscovy have a temperament different than other domestics they do like to fight. I could never have the drakes together always...
