So glad to read about your flock! I have a thread where I routinely post cartoons (from 2 books) I have drawn about a chicken named Mabel. In the story, a rooster gets anonymously dropped off (this is based on true events with my chickens)...if you go to my page, I just posted a cartoon about...
Have any of you ever had a chicken abandoned at or near your place? Here is what happened to Roo and how he became crippled. (Based on a real rooster we had and how we came to have him). Here is "A Real Nightmare."
In Maine, Spring has finally arrived...yay!
The next chapter in Mabel's World 2 is about the rest of Roo's story and is called "Roo's Rescue". The first cartoon in this series is "Campfire Tales".
I've shared this cartoon before but since Easter is this week it seemed to be the thing to do! (Today also happens to be when taxes are due in the US.)
Welcome to BYC! I haven't had any retrievers...I hope your dog will learn chickens are a part of the household and thus are fellow family members! (I have had herding dogs and I just introduce them to chicks by holding and petting each chick, etc.)
I am laughing at myself for replying to my own question...here is a picture or 2 of my dream garden I made with no help from a dream team of chickens!🤣 (my husband did help with the rocks.)
How many of you have envisioned a garden and made a garden dream come true? Mabel and her friends can now enjoy what their hard work produced!!! 🌷🐦❤️
Here is "Dream Garden".
