    Sometimes duck eggs take a long time to hatch. It’s very hard to wait. But, you did what you thought was best for the little one. It may have had some unknown internal issues. Just never know.

    Female ducklings will develop a quack that gets louder the older they get. Males will start getting a quieter low raspy sound. It is much quieter/softer than the female quacking sound. By eight weeks old it will be much clearer to tell male or female.

    Hatched chicks and currently hatching ducklings. Wasn’t planning on buying any more chicks. Ended up purchasing nine. The bantam bin at Tractor Supply got me.

    I’m so sorry this happened. :hugs I can’t offer any advice, as I’ve not had this happen, but that is horrible it shuts off on day 21! What is the brand and make of incubator?
