    I saw some glossy hip feathers the other day! I'll keep an eye on them If they are a girl, they will stay. We plan on keeping all the girls and eating the boys, other than Cemani and Breezy. Hubby said no to setting up a bantam coop and run.

    One of the legbars is very weak. I cleaned it's butt yesterday because it was pasty, and I've been periodically taking it from under the heater to get a drink and offer food.     Got a "dinosaur egg shell" for kiddo, it's a blown ostrich egg. Super cool. Stopped at a different farm and home on our way home and found white leghorns for my mother in law. Four...with an extra as "boy insurance" And 2 cream legbars for kiddo since ours hatched out as boys.
