    Gnats killed my babies

I want to try the basil, it sounds like a good idea, but these thugs are psycho. They were still trying to bite me and the chickens when I had bug spray and vanilla on, they are bloodthirsty. Permethrin spray might be my only option

    Gnats killed my babies

I have electrolytes, I mixed with water, and also added apple cider vinegar to the water, just for a immune boost. But my Polish is not drinking, and with her weakened state and large nostrils, I don’t want her to aspirate by trying to make her drink

    Gnats killed my babies

5 of my flock are now dead, I found them in the coop, the rest were hiding in the nest boxes, some half dead. I have no words for how horrible it is. Clouds of vicious, aggressive, biting gnats, swarms so thick you can’t breathe. I have never seen such a bad year. I am devastated to lose good...

My first baby made an appearance!! Man she’s flopping around all over the place. She also has a bit a goopy stuff coming out of navel, but it’s not yolk. Looks like embryonic waste? Bad photo I know but she’s moving a lot and I don’t want to keep the bator open

    Pretty sure she's egg bound...

She was doing fine, but she went downhill this afternoon all of the sudden, and died before I could do anything. I didn’t have calcium on hand. I am not quite sure was happened, perhaps she had eggs internally, or an infection of some sorts, because her cloaca looked empty, and her abdomen...

    Pretty sure she's egg bound...

I hop on here because I’m dealing with the same thing. My duck Jemima has been quiet, lethargic and hunched over in a corner all day. I found an egg trailing out of her, looking like an airless balloon. Her eyes were also watery, a bit foamy. I just soaked her in a bucket of hot water, and...

My calls have attitude problems. They get in nasty fights with my chickens. My Bantam rooster and Call drake duked it out and the rooster mutilated the drake’s face. I thought his eyes was plucked out but turned out it was beneath a swollen flap of skin for a couple weeks. I sure was happy to...

Oh man, yes they never stop talking. Or demanding whatever it is their ducky brains think up. The minute they hear my voice, or see me, they burst into obnoxious quacking and head bobbing. They are the hyenas of poultry world. Except cuter
