Easter Egger and Olive Egger confusion

I'll get pictures tomorrow and update my previous Breed/ID post. Now that they're 4 weeks older than the last time I might get better guesses.

Easter Egger and Olive Egger confusion

I asked because I have what is supposed to an Easter Egger pullet and a black BYM pullet, possibly OE (?). Neither has laid yet since they're only 12 weeks, but the wait is driving me bonkers, lol. If my black BYM pullet lays green eggs then she's an Olive Egger? That would just be way too lucky...

Easter Egger and Olive Egger confusion

Ok that makes sense. Here's another 'I should have this figured out by now' question . . . It's one of those question others are probably wondering, but they don't want to ask the 'dumb' question, lol. When it's said that Easter Eggers lay 'colored' eggs is brown considered a 'colored' egg or...

Easter Egger and Olive Egger confusion

This a question I assumed I'd figure out through contexts in threads, but I haven't yet. Feel free to correct me since most of what I'm saying is speculation or conclusions I've drawn based on threads I've read. What's the difference between an Easter Egger and an Olive Egger? I pretty sure an...

    White leghorn chicks

I'm not sure about the feather sexing, but I was told White Leghorn males tend to show signs sooner than chicks in general. I had one and at 1.5 weeks he had a large comb that got dark around 3 weeks and his wattles showed up a few days later. How old is your chick?

    Breed ID, please.

Defiantly not a RIR, that's all I'm sure of . .so far it looks like a pullet, but I'm still new.

Ok one more for the day...roo????

Same boat here, 17 RIR to sort through at 4 weeks old as of yesterday . . . .the wait is killing me, lol

Please tell me not a roo!

I agree my cockerels were like puppy dogs until the hormones kicked, then I was 'persona non grata' lol.

Who knows their RIR best? Gender Traits?

I have 17 RIR chicks that turn 4 weeks today. Aside from darker combs and developing wattles what other traits could help me tell the cockerels from the pullets at this age? I'll get pictures, I just need some pointers on what to look for while I sort them out so I can leg band the suspected males.

    Gender of my polish???

No idea, but he remined me of this charter from Pokémon. My son watches the show and the charters name is Guzman . . .in case your chick doesn't have a name yet, lol.

4 week old chicks - what have I got here???

I find it safer the to assume the friendliest are roos . . .they are little heartbreakers, lol And I agree 4, 6 and 10 are roos. Icelandic is at the top of my list for chicks next time around, they're so awesome looking.
