I asked because I have what is supposed to an Easter Egger pullet and a black BYM pullet, possibly OE (?). Neither has laid yet since they're only 12 weeks, but the wait is driving me bonkers, lol. If my black BYM pullet lays green eggs then she's an Olive Egger? That would just be way too lucky...
Ok that makes sense. Here's another 'I should have this figured out by now' question . . . It's one of those question others are probably wondering, but they don't want to ask the 'dumb' question, lol.
When it's said that Easter Eggers lay 'colored' eggs is brown considered a 'colored' egg or...
This a question I assumed I'd figure out through contexts in threads, but I haven't yet. Feel free to correct me since most of what I'm saying is speculation or conclusions I've drawn based on threads I've read.
What's the difference between an Easter Egger and an Olive Egger? I pretty sure an...
I'm not sure about the feather sexing, but I was told White Leghorn males tend to show signs sooner than chicks in general.
I had one and at 1.5 weeks he had a large comb that got dark around 3 weeks and his wattles showed up a few days later.
How old is your chick?
I have 17 RIR chicks that turn 4 weeks today. Aside from darker combs and developing wattles what other traits could help me tell the cockerels from the pullets at this age?
I'll get pictures, I just need some pointers on what to look for while I sort them out so I can leg band the suspected males.
No idea, but he remined me of this charter from Pokémon. My son watches the show and the charters name is Guzman . . .in case your chick doesn't have a name yet, lol.
With her coloring
And his crest
I could get some really cute chicks . . . she's an EE and he's a BYM, I think they both have Icelandic in their mix, but maybe that's just wishful thinking, lol.
Edited: typo
This is them as chicks
I find it safer the to assume the friendliest are roos . . .they are little heartbreakers, lol
And I agree 4, 6 and 10 are roos.
Icelandic is at the top of my list for chicks next time around, they're so awesome looking.
I'm not very good at breeds but for the videos you can upload to YouTube and post a link or . . .
What I do is, move the video from my phone to my computer and use VLC Media player to take stills from the video and post those.
