    Local Recommendations for Sussex County DE

    New Babies

    Finally was able to get some babies. Started out saying we only need 3 or 4.... ended up with 10. They made it their first night pretty good.     1. We have a neighbor who free ranges their chickens. Will that be a problem if we do a caged chicken run? 2. We are being given a chicken coop for free from a family member. Is there any cleaning precautions that we should take since we dont know anything about the chickens that were in it...

    Newbie in Delaware

    People call me Crissy, I currently am a custodian for a local school. I recently became interested in raising chickens and am looking to educate myself on the ins and outs of it. I want to have "pets" but them to be useful as well. Looking forward to being able to start this new adventure.
