    Yes, I did give Benadryl but it didn't help. The bump has been drained a couple of times but fills back up. She is enjoying her scrambled egg breakfast, then I will return her to the flock later this morning. Thanks for your response!!

    Alright well then I ordered the acidified copper sulfate. It will take a few days to arrive. Any advice in the meantime? I was able to record the “swallowing” although I am unable to load the video on this site

    Thank you for your reply! I do not smell anything when I deal with her mouth. No fowl pox, lots of mosquitoes though. I do have some Metronidazole for my dogs 500mg/tablet. Do you think it’s worth a try to give her some? I can try for a picture later tonight when my help will be home from work.

    I drained the bump and it was filled with clear fluid. I put triple antibiotic cream on it when I was done. We’ll see if it fills back up. I did my best to look down her beak and I don’t think i saw anything unusual. It’s still a mystery to me as to why she acts like it’s hard to swallow so if...

    When I picked her up yesterday, I couldn’t even find her crop. Last night after she ate the eggs and yogurt it was a little squishy. The crop was empty this morning. All that to say, I don’t think I don’t think there would be much to show if I did get a picture 😕

    Discovered one of my hens with a swollen cheek. She did free range today so I wonder if it’s a bug bite?? The swelling is just on one side. She also seems to maybe have crop issues as she acts like she has issues swallowing. I have her separated for possible sour crop. Anyone have any ideas...

    I plan to start amoxicillin today. I have liquid 125mg/5ml. I need to reseach the dosage amounts. If anyone has any info on dosage amounts I’d be grateful for the help. :)

    Yes. She is generally unstable. She was never limping - I just happened to look at the bottoms of her feet and saw the black scab. She stands just fine. Walking is slow and unsteady

    Yes, dulcolax with out the laxative! I got about 2 oz of fluid. She hasn’t laid since the fall due to age and heavy molt. I’m not familiar with egg yolk peritonitis. I have liquid amoxicillin, I wonder if I should give that a try.

    Forgot to mention in the original post, I am also giving corid (just in case) and Vit E and B complex. I’ve brought the dog crate outside so she can get some sun and fresh air. She “ wobbled” around some in the snow as well….she’s really unsteady :( Anyone have any other suggestions??
