    The Moonshiner's Leghorns

I have tried several anxiety meds including SSRIs and Wellbutrin, and so far, only propranolol and vistaril seem to be the only things that do anything for me. I likely need to take the propranolol on a daily basis though instead of just as needed. I could definitely use a therapist though for...

    I'm not dramatic at all.

    The Moonshiner's Leghorns

Samsies. I have kind of an unhealthy relationship with food (yet more childhood trauma), so my mind can't be normal when it comes to food. I'm either binging and eating all the food or severely restricting. TMI I know. Childhood trauma and junk can really be hard to overcome. I am dang...

    I don't hate them, just don't want to drink them. 😆 🙃

    The Moonshiner's Leghorns

My mind just cannot do the mushroom coffee. My husband has some and I don't like it, even though I haven't tried it. It's a mental thing. But I don't hate mushrooms, just don't want to drink the mushrooms. :sick

    The Moonshiner's Leghorns

I have a very "all or nothing" mindset when it comes to food (and drinks). I am either eating all the food, or restricting all the bad things and counting calories. I am either drinking all the Mt. Dew Zero, or none at all. I struggle with moderation, so when I'm on the wagon, I'm all in...

    The Moonshiner's Leghorns

I may try to go cold turkey on my next set of nights off work. I have to have a few days to go through the horrible caffeine withdrawal. I have easily put away 400-500mg of caffeine a night back when I used to drink Monster energy drinks plus the Mt. Dew Zeros when I first went back to...

    The Moonshiner's Leghorns

Our neighbors lived in California and Arizona previously, and after our arctic blizzard thing we had over winter, then our tornado warnings, and soon to be blistering heat in summer, I think they are about to put their house on the market. 😆

    The Moonshiner's Leghorns

I had weaned myself to one 20 oz Mt. Dew Zero a day, and I'm right back up to like 3!!! Way too many for my poor heart and anxiety. We can support each other as we try to wean down, and then hopefully off of caffeine. :)

It certainly feels "swampy" and humid in Kentucky in summer. Hotter than blue blazes and high ambient humidity. Rainy in spring, rainy in fall. Winter here can be bizarre, and we can have all 4 seasons in winter. lol

Yw! I look forward to seeing your chicks hatch! :love

    The Moonshiner's Leghorns

@BlindLemonChicken you see how well I hatch eggs, just from posting on this group. Those results do not lie, my friend. My husband tells me I have gotten "too good at hatching." Because I hatch so many! 😆

    The Moonshiner's Leghorns

For the life of me, it will not let me quote your post @BlindLemonChicken , but sounds like a good plan emptying the water bottle and letting the incubator dry out. The eggs will do much better developing on the dryer side, trust me. I have lost many a chick due to excess moisture during...

    The Moonshiner's Leghorns

I am in the same boat with caffeine, but where I work nightshift I have a hard time going without it. It exacerbates my panic disorder really bad and I get chest pain, heart palpitations (PVCs), and my heart races. My goal is to wean myself down now that my seasonal depression is chilling out...

    The Moonshiner's Leghorns

No not at all as long as the humidity overall does not stay high on average.

    The Moonshiner's Leghorns

Our climate is listed as a "humid subtropical climate." But the winters with the central heat going are very dry so in the winter I have to add some water the sportsman. During the spring/summers I run it completely dry. Then lockdown as normal in the Genesis hatchers.

    The Moonshiner's Leghorns

Agreed. I incubate nearly dry in the winter with the water pan almost completely covered in the sportsman. My humidity stays around 30-35% that way, and that has been my sweet spot for chicken eggs. Turkey eggs I can go as low as 25% and they all hatch too good as my husband says. lol I...

Vents wide open until the moisture in the water pan dries out, then run it dry and see what your humidity runs that way.
