My daughter incubated eggs in her classroom that I bought from a local farmers - it was day 21 and one chick hatched. Waited a couple days and nothing happened. The eggs were brown and some greenish so really hard to see anything in them during the incubation..
Well when I opened the eggs up...
I have bought eggs on eBay and had great hatch rates - I think it's important to look at the sellers ratings because that's usually a tell all.

I am looking for some hatching eggs to do in the classroom. I live in Conroe Texas so someone nearby me would be ideal. I only need like 6.
If Anyone has any eggs please let me know. Barnard mix would be fine. No need for a certain breed. I already have a home set up for whatever hatches...
I had a neighbor look after them when we went away for two weeks last year and I was so ticked off when I got home and the water they were drinking was disgusting he never cleaned out the container- I don't even think he had given them fresh water while I was gone.
I am so jealous! I can't hatch any chicks- hubby wants me to stop having chickens because I retire soon and we will be traveling. I am happy to retire but can't I just take the chicks with me
I think you are right about that. Since she has been eating well and not showing any other signs - she can run like the road runner she's fast..lol- her coat and her wattles look healthy too.

I read an article about coryza - I separated her last night. And will see what the husband says. We have had a lot of rain and the run and yard has been really muddy, but the coop they sleep in is hosed down every other day. But it's possible that wild birds had it and left...
