Someone getting even with an Ex. I had a friend in college buy a Porsche 944 for ten dollars from a recently divorced lady. It was the Ex's pride and joy and she got it in the divorce. Fun times driving fast in that car....until he wrecked it. Ah....the good ole days....wouldn't even want to go...
We have a few "odd" names:
We hane one RIR - Red (I know boring)
One Ameracauna - Name is due to a crooked upper beak -- Scissor Lips
One Black Sexlink -- Name is due to she seems to always be facing away and "grazing" when I go in the pen -- Fluffy Butt
One Barred Rock -- Domino

I'm actually very new to having chickens myself but have already had to explain the actual cost of "free" eggs.....as in, "Isn't it nice to get free eggs?". I just shake my head and mention some of the basic costs and then ask if they would like to buy some of my organic, fresh eggs. It's always...

Hi. New to BYC. We are in Cypress Texas (better known as NW Houston these days). We have had chickens about six months now and really enjoying. We are starting up an herb business and plan to get Rabbits soon.

I stumbled onto Peets Coffee - Major Dickason's Blend - Dark Roast Coffee. If you like your coffee strong but not burnt tasting then I highly recommend. It is also available in K-cups. My reward to myself after the morning farm chores are complete. :-D
Hi Mike! I am fairly new to chickens myself. I am a woodworker so I endeavored to build our coop. I looked at literally thousands of pictures of various coop designs and then designed and built ours. Pictures of ours are in my gallery. There are many designs but I would highly recommend building...
