Thanks ladies! Shew I didn’t think I’d be this worried about these babies! It is towards one end of the brooder, but up against one end and one side of it. I’ll lower the back and leave the front higher. Thank you again!

This is them currently. So I should lower it and not really worry about the temp?
Thanks! It cooled down and I turned it back on at setting “I”. Now it’s up to 97* under there. They are all sleeping happily under it. Should I be concerned with the higher temp? I don’t want to be up all night worrying if they’re over heated and/or turning the plate on & off all night. If it...

Thank you! I moved them into our laundry room (I think the concrete floor was cooling it down). They are now in there with the 60w & space heater. It’s heating back up. All but 1 are sleeping (somewhat together). So I guess they are doing ok!
We just got 6 baby chicks today. We bought the 250w heat lamp from the store. This is too hot for the chicks. I have switched it out with a 60w regular bulb that we had. However the temp in the brooder is at 90* now. They are in our garage (eastern NC area) with a space heater on. I’m worried...
