Crop not emptying a week out from crop surgery

She never had crop issues before this. I'll try a fast but she should be in a better place by now, it seems.

Crop not emptying a week out from crop surgery

She never had crop issues before this. I'm definitely worried as to why it's not resolved by now too as I hoped she could go back outside and free range again this weekend.

Crop not emptying a week out from crop surgery

She does not have 24/7 access. No food at night but also have been feeding her small meals throughout the day. No unlimited access right now, ever.

Crop not emptying a week out from crop surgery

She had surgery a week ago and has been on soft foods. Vet removed a mass of mostly straw. Obviously, I got rid of the straw. She's been in the house this whole time and staples come out at the end of this week. However, her crop is not emptying overnight. It goes down overnight, but it's not...

    Crop surgery

In case anyone is reading this thread later on...I had two hens who ended up needing crop surgery. They were eating hemp bedding! The one vet, an exotic specialist, charges $3000.00. Another exotic vet in town charges $450. That vet is nearly never available and hardly works so it's tough...

    Perfectly round fairy egg!

They dry up? I had no idea. Do you just keep them in the fridge and wait?

Need a new, improved run. Pics please!

Has the roof on the run held up well? An curious if it'll crack easily. Also, does it hold weight well? Wondering about large snow/ice amounts on top. It looks beautiful.

Baytril for EYP (with lash egg pics) Anything else to help?

Thanks all. If it was a lash egg, should I expect another other soon ? And if it's a weird egg but not lash, I assume it's just a one time thing? So far no more strange things have come out and no other symptoms still

Is this a lash egg? If so, what do I do?

What about the red stringy bit at the bottom? And if the brownish bottom part is salpingitis, does that not need antibiotics to clear up? Or would it clear and its own? And she'll be fine?

Is this a lash egg? If so, what do I do?

Does a lash egg HAVE to contain that cottage cheese like material? And what do you mean by "damaged flesh?"

Is this a lash egg? If so, what do I do?

No, I don't know who laid it. All seem completely normal otherwise...eating, foraging, no crop issues, nothing out of the ordinary at all.

Is this a lash egg? If so, what do I do?

It did not have any of that material in it. Thick, brownsih liquid in the bottom part and the top was more like egg material but no yolk

Baytril for EYP (with lash egg pics) Anything else to help?

Since I've started antibiotics, should I continue for three days at this point? They've had three doses now

Is this a lash egg? If so, what do I do?

The larger section had egg material (no yolk) in it and the smaller, darker piece had a brownish, thick liquid come out, like a pudding consistency

The large section had egg material in it. The smaller, darker bit had some brown, thicker liquid.

@casportpony I had a hen lay a normal egg today. Does that mean I can rule her out?
