    Sorry for your troubles. Rest and maybe some vitamins to boost her system may be all she needs. Hard to tell b/c she is not presenting any real issues. Do you have a heat source for the chick? She needs one. I like the idea of getting it a couple of buddies so it it not lonely. Good luck.

    Children's benadryl can be given, but I do not know the dosage. Perhaps someone else will know. You can also put terramycin (or non-pain relieving type of triple antibiotic ointment) into the eye to sooth the irriation. @Wyorp Rock @Eggcessive ?

    I am so sorry for your gal. I have no idea and will tag someone who might be able to help. In the meantime - what is her diet, including all treats? Have you tried to give vitamins? Have you checked her over for mites? What do her poops look like? @Eggcessive , any ideas?

    Yes, as @fldiver97 says, a heat source. One it can get under and away from if needed. A brooder plate is best, but a heat lamp will work at the right height. Thanks for taking this baby in!

    Just for reference, here is a picture of some of our Black Australorps at 10 days old. Also, you will need some starter/grower and chick grit for that baby if you don't already have some. Layer pellets have too much calcium and probably not enough protien. Just giving some info.

    If it is anemia, you are looking for the iron content, thus the liver. Do you have access to liver in any form? Cow, lamb, pig, chicken - any would work if it is in fact anemia. Edit: while eggs have some iron it is low on the bioavailabilty spectrum.
