I crossed my Ayam Cemani x Australorp with my Easter Eggers and Olive Eggers..I have 3 chicks. 2 of them have the Fibro gene. I am really excited to see what they look like when they grow up.
Well, friends, the hatch is over. This morning, I took the incubator into my bathroom (so I could get the humidity up in case either the unhatched eggs had pipped). I moved the 3 babies into a box with a warm towel and candled the two. They were both quitters, probably in week 1.
The others...
Honestly, don't know. He could have been born this way. But he does run into a fair number of walls. Less now that he is 7, but he had the worst depth perception when younger.
More sad news today. We are shifting from waiting for Sylvie and Mantis to hatch to moving the other 3 out to the brooder and checking the remaining two eggs for viability. I plan to move the incubator into my bathroom and run the shower to get humidity up (so not to shrink wrap any possible...
Happy Caturday! Today, we meet Oliver. He has one braincell, hates being picked up and cuddled (but has no sense of anyone else's personal space) and acts like a complete toddler, up to and including needing to be hand fed because of an eating disability (hubs thinks I just spoil him) 🙄

There are fuzzy butts here today, Happy Friday everyone!! I hope the snow is all melted up there in the UP!
Kamaria (always in my face, probably a rooster)
Strange (Fibro Easter Egger)
Groot (F2 Olive Egger)
Waiting on two to pip!!! The others were a day early, so I need the other two to hatch...
Ridiculously cute fluffy butts for this Friday (waiting on 2 to pip, the other three were a whole day early)!

Not yet! Letting them dry out in the incubator for awhile. And since these 3 were super early bird heroes, the other two feel behind but are actually on-schedule. I will move them to the brooder tomorrow morning where they will be able to run around to their heart's content.
Looking through pictures of the day and thought I'd post these. Sylvie and Mantis are still quiet, hoping they hatch during the night :fl:jumpy
Kameria is like all up in my face when I get near the brooder. Super cute.
