I feed Kings Brand waterfowl pellets. Been using it for years. I am in central California and it is milled just south of me. It is what Metzer farms uses. Great stuff, and only $16 a bag.
Absolutely, mine are a lot friendlier than other breeds I have had. They may hiss at you during breeding season, but mine will not chase you like other breeds.
I love them all, and have raised most of them. I really like pilgrims to, but the Dewlap Toulouse are the calmest and the most entertaining geese I have been around. They act more like a dog than a goose some of the time.
If any one is interested, I am going to be selling a few of my Dewlap Toulouse goslings this spring. I have both gray and buff. The goslings are $60 each and fertile eggs will be $20 each.
I will have a few Dewlap Toulouse eggs for sale soon. This is a pre sale. They come from Holderreads and Overton bloodlines. Big beautiful geese. I have 3 males and 5 females. Both grey and buff colors. They should be laying within a month. Should be sooner than that depending on the weather...
With the influx of Holderreads bloodlines, there pilgrims will continue to get better. They are pretty good anyway. I live 40 miles from them. They are great people.
You put the duck tape directly on the feathers over the bad wing and all the way under it. Go around at least two times. It won't come off until you take it off.
