Bald spot and "brooding" Australorp??
We have black australorp, age 9 mos. Was laying fine. Last 24 hours, we noticed a major bald spot on her tummy area, probably 3-4 inches in diameter. Hello all - new to the forum. 14 mixed hens + 1 mystery chick, all three weeks today. In a lovely coop on pine shavings and growing like mad. Moving to regular chick starter (from medicated) today.
