    Is paraffin wax harmful to chickens

    I have a small chicken feeder that is deeper than I liked it to be, so I got the idea to pour melted wax in the bottom and let it harden to make it shallow. Now I am wandering if the chickens happen to peck into the wax if this will be harmful for them. I haven't used the pan this way yet...

    Chicks hatching with yolk sac not fully absorbed
