One basic styrofoam incubator, decent shape. The second is an Incuview, also in decent shape but missing the metal part for the turner so just turn by hand. Best fair offer. Pick up only.
I have five Icelandic chickens, one roo and four hens, around a year old, roo a little younger. Hens are laying. I may also have a few Icelandic chicks around the 16th. Best fair offer but pick up only.
I forgot to post this. I have 18 Icelandic eggs due the first week of August and 20 Coturnix eggs due the 30th. :) More quail eggs going in next week and saving up Icie eggs though the girls have slowed down a little.
A couple weeks ago I had a great variety of quail hatch out from shipped eggs. Relatives got most and I kept 15 then ended up with 16 as one hatched several days later. Understandably that one is smaller, but there are a couple others that are pretty tiny, maybe three times smaller than the...
My Icelandic roo that hatched out around Christmas Eve I figured has been fertile for a bit. I candled my "test hatch" and they are all developing. :) Good thing as I have been collecting for one person and the next person in line wants six eggs.
There are 10 Icelandic eggs due around the 16th. Six OEGB eggs due around the 19th. 12 guinea eggs around the 26th. I might be incubating more turkey and duck eggs too. Two of my four Icelandic hens are back from being broody. Hopefully in six weeks my Coturnix will be laying. (SO many...
I got home and two of the OEGB eggs I was incubating for my aunt had hatched two days early! I will have to see if more hatch. They are SO cute. Pics to come once the hatch is finished.
My Coturnix hatch is done. The OEGBs for my aunt are due the 30th. She is also bringing me more OEGB and guinea eggs to hatch for her plus I have a test hatch of Icelandic eggs going in. I SO WANT to incubate turkey eggs but have to wait til all of these are done, by then maybe I wont be able to...
I went to bed last night knowing the hatch was starting. I had made a larger order of shipped eggs and crossed my fingers that I would get a FEW. Fast forward to this morning, at least 20 babies ( hatch still going) in a rainbow of colors. Pics later after hatch is finished. :)
Now I have incubated about everything under the sun but never Muscovies. In a couple weeks I am ordering a dozen and going to give it a shot. Has anyone here had success in hatching them in an incubator? What would the dos and donts be?
I would like to buy at least a dozen Muscovy eggs. I have incubated about everything else under the sun and would like to attempt these. Shipped is fine.
With the exception of molting and broodiness, my Icelandic hens were laying like clockwork. I was growing out the new roo, he was right by the hens so they were as used to him as they could be without them actually being with him. Anyway, since he has been with them, they have only laid three...
This past weekend I put 100 Coturnix Quail eggs in the Incuview. A relative also brought some Old English Game Bantam eggs for me to incubate. Coturnix due May 22 and Banties due May 30.
I am looking to either buy the following or I also have Icelandic eggs if someone would like to trade. I am interested in: seramas, old english game bantams, silkies, dwarf olandsk and banty cochins. I might be interested in crosses, depending what they were. Just pm me details. Thanks!
Well the ducklings are hatching like popcorn! ( I will get pics tomorrow) I was so worried as a couple weeks ago we had a 16 hour power outage during an awful spring snowstorm. Candling showed all was good but I still wondered how it would affect the eggs. All I was able to do was cover the...
