broody chicken cured but has not laid eggs in 6 weeks
One of our girls went broody right after labor day at 6 mo's old. We did not have another cage to separate her from our other 5 girls. We did the ole wives tell and dunked her her cool water a few times and kept taking her out the nesting box. She had starting laying eggs before she went broody...- Jake T

Coop or free range in this extreme heat?
We have 6 17 week old Wyandottes and we are new to raising chickens. Love it BTW! I have been reading all the great ideas on how to take care of the chickens in this extreme heat this year.
