Got our first egg today!
Found our first egg today in the run under the ladder to the coop. I put some golf balls in the nests to see if this will help get them started laying in the nest. I have 19 hens and 2 roos. Not sure which one the egg belongs to. I have 5 Red Stars, 2 Black Austrolorps, 8 Buff Orpingtons, 1...- Bamaroo

Hello to all from Alabama...
My wife and I just got our first batch of chickens (27) and are enjoying them very much. I have been lurking on this site for several weeks and just decided to join and become part of this community. Everyone seems so helpful and eager to give advice to the newbies. Thanks.- Bamaroo
