I am new at chickens, got the hen house and run built, went and got two 2 month old silkies. All was fine untill my hubby wanted a egg layer and didnt want to wait. He got a Barred Rock 6 months old. Happy to part of this forum.
You all have helped me so much on ideas for creating my coop, and learning all about chicken raising. I only wanted 4 or 5 for pets and of course fresh eggs. I finished our coop and run this past weekend. He started with 2 Silkies about 2 months old. There a hoot to watch. So far they seem happy...- Terihdfxr
