I haven't posted in about a year but I need to know what people personally think about sillkie bantams because we just moved our 6 rhode island reds into a new and bigger coop and were thinking about getting about 2 more chickens we wanted a "specialty" breed and I saw those and fell in love...
so we have had our chickens for a month today we started out with six and we still have six so that's good and we are getting six eggs a day and we usually dont eat that many eggs but they are awesome!!! and on a completly different topic in case anyone was wondering the chickens and my rabbit...
We finally got our first egg two days ago our second one today and our third on today also. me and one other person where lucky enough to watch the "birth" of the egg and it was really awesome. when we picked the egg it still had the umbilical cord attached ( i think we picked it to early) but...
So the chickens are coming in late but we had lots of time to finish the coop and it is pretty awesome if i do say so my self and we are calling it the barn because the bunny has his own area in the coop but if you have any sugestions please give them this is my first time with chickens!!
Me and my parents have ordered 6 chickens from Toronto and they are coming in next week we barley evan have the coop ready and we need to get started tonight anyone know what kind of cleaning and preperation for the chicken coop (our first time having chickens) they are pullets 5-6 months old!!
