    Eggs are smaller than the cups in the turner

    Has anyone else tried to incubate chicken eggs that are smaller than the cup size of the turner? My eggs are rocking / knocking back and forth when the turner goes to the far right or left. Is this going to effect the embryo ? Will it effect my hatching sucess ?

    Incubator temp

    This is our third incubation this Spring. I took the last 4 unhatched eggs out of the incubator yest. Cleaned it all up and plugged it back in. I had it at a temp. of 101 for about 13 hrs. I filled it with eggs 6 hrs. ago and the temp. has not risen above 99. Do I just need to be patient...

    11/2 week old chicks

    A week ago we successfully hatched 2 chicks, each a day apart. A week has passed and 1 chick is 4Xs larger than the second chick. Is this a good sign that the larger one is a rooster ? I do not know which chick hatched 1st.
